A running event just for kids 12 and under!!!

The 20th Annual Junior Carlsbad is on Saturday, April 4th, 2009.

Every child is a champion! The emphasis is on fun, not speed. At Junior Carlsbad, every child is a winner and receives a Finisher's medal, goodie bag, and official race T-shirt.

Family-filled event with post-race refreshments, great prize drawings, Health & Fitness Expo and live entertainment. Top three girls and boys in each age group (5-12) also receive an award.

Age 12 (1 Mile): 7:50 AM
Age 11 (1 Mile): 8:00 AM
Age 10 (1 Mile): 8:15 AM
Age 9 (1 Mile): 8:30 AM
Age 8 (1 Mile): 8:45 AM
Age 7 (1 Mile): 9:00 AM
Age 6 (½ Mile): 9:20 AM
Age 5 (½ Mile): 9:35 AM
Age 4 (¼ Mile): 9:55 AM
Age 3 Toddler Trot*: 10:15 AM
Age 2 & under Diaper Dash*: 10:30 AM

*A series of 25- and 50-yard dashes

Please read the following waiver This is to certify that my son/daughter has my permission to compete in the Junior Carlsbad and related events, is in good physical condition, and that race officials have my permission to authorize emergency treatment if necessary. I, the undersigned, voluntarily waive, discharge and release the City of Carlsbad, the North County Transit Development Board (NCTD), the National Railroad Passenger Corporation (Amtrak), the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF), Elite Racing, Inc., USATF, and all agencies whose property and/or personnel are used, and other sponsoring or co-sponsoring company(ies), agency(ies) or individual(s) from responsibility for any injuries or damages my son or daughter may suffer as a result of my participation in the Junior Carlsbad and related events. I will additionally permit the use of my son/daughter’s name and pictures in broadcasts, telecasts, newspapers, brochures, etc. and I also understand that the entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. I certify that all information provided in this form is true and complete. I have read the entry information provided for the event and certify my compliance by signature below.
